Hint Generator – Apparatus is the third version of a series of interactive toys: a navigation and interaction device that changes each time according to different scenarios, suggesting new readings of space. Hardware and interface mingle in a device that works with sensors, displays and led connected to arduino.

It is a special compass that reinterprets the concept of orientation. Our imaginary, as recorded in instagram posts and as filtered through different hashtags, is revoked and transformed into something new as well as common.

As a new (Heidegger’s) hut through which the resident perceives and interprets the environment, the compass invites to a new navigation. Peeking into the shell, a unique new narrative unfolds.

Το Hint Generator – Apparatus αποτελεί την τρίτη εκδοχή μιας σειράς διαδραστικών παιχνιδιών: ένας μηχανισμός πλοήγησης και αλληλεπίδρασης με το περιβάλλον, μετασχηματίζεται κάθε φορά μέσα από διαφορετικά σενάρια και ανακινεί διαφορετικές αναγνώσεις του χώρου. Hardware και interface μπερδεύονται σε μία συσκευή που λειτουργεί με αισθητήρες, οθόνες και led που συνδέονται με arduino.

Το Hint Generator – Apparatus είναι μια ιδιότυπη πυξίδα που επανερμηνεύει την έννοια του προσανατολισμού. Το εικονολόγιό μας, όπως αυτό καταγράφεται μέσα απο τις αναρτήσεις στο instagram και φιλτράρεται μέσα από τα διαφορετικά hashtag, ανακαλείται και αναγάγεται σε κάτι νέο και κοινό.

Σαν μια άλλη καλύβα μέσα από την οποία ο κάτοικος προσλαμβάνει και ερμηνεύει το περιβάλλον του, η πυξίδα καλεί σε μία παράξενη περιήγηση. Κρυφοκοιτάζοντας μέσα στο κέλυφός του, μια νέα μοναδική αφήγηση εκτυλίσσεται..
